34 More Days!

Rob and I plan to get our marriage license this Wednesday, May 13th, as it will be exactly one month till our wedding. Things are really coming together nicely and I hope that it continues that way. It's been thrilling receiving wedding gifts in the mail just about each day. I've even received gifts from people on Rob's mother's side of the family who reside in Georgia and whom I've never even met! Talk about absolutely generous and thoughtful. Anyday now I should receive a phonecall from Priscilla of Boston informing me that my wedding dress has arrived and ready to pick up. I can't wait! I've received such wonderful support from Rob's family throughout the entire planning of this endeavor and I couldn't be more thankful.

As for the house hunting, Rob and I have decided to put that on the back burner for the time being, at least until after the wedding. A lot of the houses that we were interested in and were considering putting an offer on had a deadline that was just too soon for us. For example, we would look at a house on say Friday, we'd like it enough to put an offer on, but we would have to have it in that Monday. Too much stress and not enough time for something as momentous as buying a house. So, we'll resume our efforts sometime in late June and for now we will focus entirely on the upcoming wedding, as we should have from the get-go.
