119 days until the wedding! Today we purchased the party rental equipment and made the corresponding reservations for delivery and pick-up of the items. Everything was so reasonably priced at this place, it was amazing! I am so fortunate that Emily and I came organized and prepared with questions and an idea of what we wanted, otherwise we may have spent the whole day there. We are going with Pintuck Blueberry tablecloths with white napkins that Emily will put her own creative touch to make it shine. The color of the invitations will need to be changed to a deeper blue in order to go with the linens, but that is easily fixable.
Next month when Emily is back in town (she is the wedding coordinator after all), I hope to go cake tasting along with Rob. I also hope to have an engagement photo session scheduled by March, preferably in San Francisco. Once the photographer/videographer and cake reservations are made, I'll feel a lot more at ease knowing that we are on the right track and that the bulk of the wedding preparations are in order.
Still no luck in the job market. I apply to at least one job every other day and the only response I generally get is an automatic reply telling me the company received my application and letter. I don't know how much longer I can take of this money/job drought.

First Blog

125 days until the wedding day! I cannot believe how quickly the day is approaching.
Emily and I went shopping for wedding invitation materials yesterday and finally decided on a Tiffany-blue and white-colored theme which Emily will add character to. The wedding dress was purchased on January 24th at Priscilla of Boston in San Francisco (as pictured to the left, except mine is ivory) and I absolutely cannot wait to wear it again. My wedding consultant said is should be in by late May which is perfect timing.
These days my time is spent cleaning house, prepping for the wedding, and tediously looking for full-time work. I've been applying to several universities/colleges such as Stanford, UC Berekely, Cal State East Bay, Chabot College, etc for administrative positions but still no word back. Ideally, I think I would like to work in an academic environment preferably close to home, but I do not rule out jobs in San Francisco since it is such an awesome city. I just want to work and make my own living already. I am so sick and tired of being poor and struggling to make ends meet.
Alright, enough of that. Who knows how long this blogging thing will last. Maybe I'll just end up using it as a way to vent from time to time! :)
